The Poe Project

An ever-evolving production blending literature, theatre, music and dance, The Poe Project weaves together some of Poe’s most famous stories and poems, taking the audience further and further into Poe’s comedy and darkness.  The production ties The Cask of Amontillado, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Bells, Annabel Lee, and The Raven together into one incredible evening.  First conceived and performed in 2006, this production was further developed in partnership with Old Dominion University’s Theatre program.  In addition to local performances, The Poe Project was performed at the 13th annual Les Fêtes Théâtrales du Suroît in Quebec (2009),  performed again as part of the 27th annual Rencontres Internationales de Théâtre Universitaire in Belgium (2010), and at the 13th annual International University Theatre Forum in Vilnius, Lithuania (2012).
